Summer is on the way and one of the great things our area has to offer that you may not even know about is Camp ACC - the summer camp ministry of Appalachian Christian Camp. Appalachian Christian Camp has been located in Limestone Cove in Unicoi for over 40 years and has been ministering to the youth of our area since 1930.
Camp ACC is a non-denominational Christian Summer Camp for youth entering Kindergarten through 12th grade. The camp program begins the first of June and continues through the summer, into early August . Camp ACC teaches Christian principles and values in a fun and exciting way that challenges today's youth. While Camp ACC is a church camp, you do not have to be a member of a church to attend.
The Camp ACC campus includes a full high ropes course, 4 ziplines, several low ropes course elements, gymnasium with an indoor rock climbing wall, ball field, sand volleyball court, a 5,000 square foot swimming pool, open-air worship center, air-conditioned dormitories and walking trails all surrounded by the beauty of Unicoi County.
Escape
Camp ACC provides the perfect environment to escape the overwhelming lives our young people find themselves in, and the programs provide the teaching of God's love in a unique and life-changing way. Located in a beautiful wooded setting at the base of the Unaka Mountains, students and adults alike are able to leave their world behind to experience God's love in a fun and exciting way that cannot be found anywhere else.
Fun
The fun never stops at Camp ACC! The Christian life is meant to be fun and Camp ACC breaks the needle off of most student's "fun-ometers"! The varied activities offered are designed specifically for the ages of those attending and it is easy to say that students of all ages have the time of their lives while here!
God's Love
God's love is not only taught, it is also experienced at Camp ACC! Students learn quickly that there is an almighty God who loves them and wants a personal relationship with them through His Son Jesus Christ! The Program Directors, Counselors and Staff are all here to share that love and message with all who attend.
Purpose
Each student also learns that God created him/her to be uniquely themselves and because they are unique, He has a specific purpose for their lives. Our different programs are designed to help each and every student discover what God's purpose is just for them!
Community
Another very important aspect of Camp ACC is the friendships that are forged. All of our sessions have a strong focus on small groups, which allows students to spend time making lasting friendships with other young people who are discovering and developing their own relationship with their heavenly Father.
