Ernie Simmons is a native of East Tennessee. He graduated from the university of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry Recreation. Ernie has been employed as Maintenance Supervisor at The Mall at Johnson City for 13 1/2 years. He has been involved in Camp ACC as a volunteer for TruthQuest and Summit for several years. Ernie attends Boones Creek Christian Church with his wife Kristan and daughters Olivia and Sarah. 

Alison Horton grew up attending camps at Camp ACC and has served as a counselor for Pee Wee, Junior, and Pathway camps for several years. Alison is serving her fifth summer on summer staff this year and her third year as a Base Camp Guide. Alison currently lives in Lynchburg, VA where she studies Vocal Music Education and attends Grace Church.

Amber Church has served as a wilderness Program Director for several years. Amber and her husband Josh attend Poplar Ridge Chrsitian Church where Amber served as the Children's Minister.

Amber Hockman has served as a Base Camp Direcotr since 2018. She has also serves as a volunteer counselor for Junior 2 and Core one, which she has done for serveral years. Amber is the Children's Minister at Woodlawn Christian Church in Knoxville, TN. She and her husband Chris have three wonderful children.

This camp week will be lead by the members of the Camp ACC Link Team, under the teaching and coaching of veteran Wilderness Program Director, Juan Villalba.. The Link program exists to give college students ministry experience throughout the summer. For this week, they will have the opportunity to lead the entire camp session.

Link team members are all students at area colleges and are serving their internships with ACC this summer by assisting Program Directors and their camp staffs for eight weeks.

Grant Roark has been an Outpost Director since 2018 and has served on the Core 2 staff for more than 10 years. Grant also spent several years on the Camp ACC Summer Staff as a Wilderness Guide for all Outpost and Venture camps. Grant is a native of East Tennessee, a veteran of the US Navy, and attends Bunker Hill Christian Church.

Mike Beverly is the Minister of Indian Springs Christian Church and serves on the Board of Directors of Camp ACC. In addition to serving as a Program Director of Outpost since 2007, Mike has also co-directed Core 2 since 2003.

Mike also teaches a camping club at Tri-Cities Christian School and authored "Trail Mix: A Backpacker's Devotional Guide". Mike has a lifetime of outdoor experiences to draw on in helping others know what to do and what not to do in the wilderness. Mike and his wife Tabby have four children who love to go camping with them.

Preston & Landon McMurray The camp is strong in this family. Preston & Landon both grew up attending Camp ACC and each served 5 years on Camp ACC Summer Staff on the Maintenance Staff and as Outpost and Venture Guides. Preston works as a CPA in Johnson City, TN and Landon is an Architect in Greenville, SC. They are the sons of Erica McMurray who also serves as one of our Base Camp Directors.
